In questo webinar esploreremo i vari aspetti del Canto Jazz e tutte le competenze di cui un buon cantante ha bisogno!
Sarà un viaggio profondo nell’arte dello swing e dell’interpretazione creativa di cui ogni cantante necessita per godersi a pieno l’esperienza nella musica jazz.
Oltre a diversi mezzi e strategie basati sul divertimento per migliorare la creatività nell’esecuzione e l’improvvisazione, esploreremo le varie possibilità melodiche utilizzate dai musicisti di Jazz al fine di creare il proprio stile personale e distintivo. Tutti questi aspetti saranno di grande aiuto nello sviluppo di una comprensione più profonda di questa magnifica forma d’arte.

Il webinar affronterà diversi punti chiave importanti nella costruzione di un’interpretazione consapevole:

- potenziare il timing e il senso del ritmo;
- l’importanza di cantare la melodia originale e come lavorare sulla variazione estemporanea;
- imparare a riconoscere le strutture tipiche degli standard jazz;
- lavorare sul rapporto col testo, dando vita alle parole;
- comprendere e imparare come funzionano introduzioni e finali.

Per i cantanti di livello medio-avanzato potremo inoltre esaminare come poter guidare la band ad un cambiamento armonico sfruttando la melodia.

Il Webinar si svolgerà su piattaforma per teleconferenza in quanto si basa proprio sull’interazione tra Sara e i partecipanti, sulla possibilità di fare domande e soprattutto sulla possibilità di eseguire almeno un brano a testa col supporto di una base per ricevere indicazioni e consigli.

Verranno inoltre offerti spunti per un ascolto consapevole, con riferimenti ai più grandi interpreti della musica Jazz.

Il Webinar sarà tenuto in lingua inglese, con traduzione in italiano eseguita da Mila Ogliastro.

Sarà possibile accedere al seminario come partecipante attivo, e avere quindi un momento di lezione frontale dedicata alla propria esecuzione, o come uditore.

In this Webinar you will explore the aspects of singing jazz that every great jazz singer needs!
We will delve into the Art of Swing and expressive interpretation needed to sing standards. Alongside several fun based strategies to improve your creative singing and improvisation, we will also explore melodic features employed by jazz musicians to form their own distinctive and individual style. All of these aspects will help to develop a deeper comprehension of this great art form.

The Webinar will cover several important features to help build a strong interpretation of a song.

- Improve time and rhythm
- The importance of singing the right melody and how to work on melodic extemporisation
- Learn how to understand the typical structures of a jazz standard
- How to inhabit the song and enchant the lyrics
- To understand and learn how the introductions and endings work
- For slightly more experienced jazz singers we can examine the harmonic possibilities implied in melody and therefore instigated by the singer in an ensemble situation.

The webinar will take place on a teleconferencing software since it is based on the interaction between Sara and all the participants, on the opportunity to ask anything you need and to sing at least one song using a backing track and receiving tips and advices > advice (uncountable!).
